It is well know within many forex trading communities to only risk 1-2% per trade. It seems intuitively simple that if we only risk a small amount of our portfolio, then we can have a string of losses and not blow our account. Lets see if we can get a slightly deeper understanding of why we manage our risk like this and what the consequences are of using this style of risk management.
